Social Roundup: Superfans

by Sophie Reid · March 29, 2015

This week has been all about the fans and the Harry Potter fandom on social media. The week kicked off with Tom Felton’s BBC Three documentary, Tom Felton Meets the Superfans, which featured interviews with J.K. Rowling, Daniel Radcliffe, and Rupert Grint, as well as several Potter superfans that Tom met along the way.

There were plenty of reminders from the Potter family to watch the program, as well as compliments on the documentary:

Tune into BBC3 tonight at 9pm to watch @TomFelton doc #TomFeltonMeetstheSuperfans 👏

Just watched @TomFelton Meets the Superfans. Incredible. It's on tonight on @bbcthree at 9pm. Then watch me on #Bluestone42 straight after.

Do see #TomFeltonMeetstheSuperfans on BBC3. Revealing & surprisingly moving. Dan, Rupert, @jk_rowling & @TomFelton so articulate & candid.

Had so much fun hanging with this guy! Excuse the dodgy wig. Or see more of it tonight BBC Three 9pm.

And afterwards, we were reminded that the Potter film family is still very strong:

A thousand thank you's for all your kind words about #TomFeltonMeetstheSuperfans really happy that so many of you enjoyed it x

— Tom Felton (@TomFelton) March 26, 2015

Feel so grateful and lucky for having support from our film family @thisisbwright @Evy_Lynch @pindippycave @jk_rowling @jasonsfolly

— Tom Felton (@TomFelton) March 25, 2015

And to @Mattdavelewis @James_Phelps and Dan and Rups for coming to the screening. We were so lucky to be forced to grow up together!

— Tom Felton (@TomFelton) March 25, 2015

Plus, there was a little interaction between a certain on-screen father and son:

@jasonsfolly you were too soft with me. Cheers father x

— Tom Felton (@TomFelton) March 26, 2015

@jasonsfolly such a supportive father 🙂

— Tom Felton (@TomFelton) March 26, 2015

Tom shared some pictures of Rupert and himself, telling fans where they can catch up with the documentary (only in the UK unfortunately):

Or you can watch it here now on BBC iplayer http://t.co/nB8q5B4kk9 pic.twitter.com/icpSFREyqf

— Tom Felton (@TomFelton) March 26, 2015

The show was followed by Matt Lewis’s Bluestone 42, making it a Potter filled night:

Ever wondered who'd win in a joke-off between @mattdavelewis and @lauraaikman? WONDER NO MORE… 😝 #Bluestone42https://t.co/gsH8isVgEZ

— BBC Three (@bbcthree) March 24, 2015

In other news, a Harry Potter music video went viral, causing J.K. Rowling herself to respond:

.@JasmineMilton_ Yes, I've seen it, and in my opinion it is a work of genius.

— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) March 26, 2015

Daniel shared a snap from China:

And finally, Natalia Tena, who played Tonks in the films, was announced for MuggleNet Live! as the event draws closer:

SURPRISE! It's the awesome Auror and Hufflepuff – Tonks! Please welcome the fabulous @NatTenaLady to #ExpoPatronum! pic.twitter.com/SpViyix2m6

Potter Quote
