How did you become a Harry Potter fan?
When I was eight I saw my older cousin reading Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. I asked her what Harry Potter was about, and she told me about the Boy Who Lived and the evil man who wanted to kill him. She then told me that she had the first book and asked me if I would like to borrow it. I vividly remember yelling, “Yes, yes, yes!!!” and now have all of the books, the box set of the movies, Quidditch Through the Ages, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and The Tales of Beedle the Bard!
Describe what being part of the Harry Potter fandom has meant to you in seven words or less.
Complete strangers become your family through Harry.
What would your Patronus be and why?
My Patronus would be a donkey because I am hard-working and also quite stubborn. I’m very loyal, and I’m easygoing when treated well.
What do you think you might see if given the chance to look into the Mirror of Erised?
I’m from Ireland, and here we play a sport called [h]urling, involving sticks and a small ball. I have been on my school team for the last three years, and every year we have gotten to the final and lost. I think in the Mirror of Erised I would see myself and my team celebrating because we won the final. Maybe it’ll become reality next year!
