Cineworld Wand Training Review

To promote Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, several Cineworld Cinemas across the United Kingdom offered visitors the chance to be a wizard for a for a few minutes, and I got to try it out.

Once you’re in the booth, there’s a chance to practice the Water-Making Spell (Aguamenti) you’re going to perform. The hand movement is shown on the screen, and you copy it until you get it right. Once you have, a wave of water will appear on screen, and then your video will appear straight after.

I couldn’t help but compare this interactive wandwork with the one at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Orlando. Honestly, I preferred the Wizarding World version because there were a lot more spells and effects used. However, this opportunity was still incredible and free. Plus, they sent me the video of me performing my spell, so I will always have that memory. It was definitely worth doing, and I would gladly do it again if I could.

Have any of you been and tried it out? What did you think? Let us know in the comments!
