Olivia Lomenech Gill’s Illustrated “Fantastic Beasts” Out Tomorrow

by Sophie Reid · November 6, 2017

We’re all still reveling in the delightful illustrations in Jim Kay’s latest illustrated Harry Potter installment, but there’s no time to dwell too much because Bloomsbury already has our next treat lined up. Olivia Lomenech Gill’s illustrated Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, the first of the illustrated Hogwarts library books (the second will be illustrated by Chris Riddell) is due out tomorrow, November 7.

Over the past few weeks, Bloomsbury has been revealing a number of the beasts in the book, giving us a glimpse at the basilisk, merpeople, the Niffler, and more!

This week we’ve teamed up with some superbly talented Instagrammers for #ReleaseTheBeasts – revealing a different beast each day from Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them by J.K.Rowling, illustrated by Olivia Lomenech Gill. First up was @lifeandliterature with this photo of the Basilisk. Respond to the beauty of this photo in emojis, and remember that you can preorder the book now (released 7th November). For the rest of the reveals, follow @sammyreadsbooks @weasleysbook @britbookboy and our friends @pottermore #FantasticBeastsIllustrated @olivia_lomenech_gill
