“Disco Pigs” Gets New York Run
Great news, Evanna Lynch (Luna Lovegood) fans – Evanna will be performing in New York City! Disco Pigs is moving from Trafalgar Studios, London, to the Irish Repertory Theater in New York at the beginning of the year. See our review from the London run last July here.
Marking the 20th anniversary of its explosive British debut, Tara Finney Productions’ Disco Pigs had a critically-acclaimed [sic] run at London’s Trafalgar Studios in the summer of 2017, starring Evanna Lynch (Harry Potter films, My Name [I]s Emily) and Colin Campbell (Dublin by Lamplight, Through [a] Glass Darkly). Both actors will make their US stage debuts with the Irish Rep production.
Tickets are on sale for the run, which will begin January 5, 2018, and are available through Irish Rep’s box office at 212-727-2737 or online at www.irishrep.org. Hurry, though, since performances are only until February 18, 2018, with shows Wednesdays at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m., Thursdays at 7 p.m., Fridays at 8 p.m., Saturdays at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m., and Sundays at 3 p.m.
Born at the same time on the same day in the same hospital, Pig and Runt have been inseparable ever since. They speak in their own language, play by their own rules, and create a world for themselves in which boundaries blur between truth and illusion. Until, on their seventeenth birthday, they discover something more. As night falls, and the disco and drink take hold, they spiral violently out of control.
This will be an exciting and moving theater experience and an amazing opportunity to see Evanna perform live. Will you be attending? Let us know below!
