“Empire” Magazine Offers an Exclusive New Look at “Crimes of Grindelwald”

Are you counting down the days until the premiere of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald yet? We sure are. That’s why we’re so excited about this brand-new exclusive image that has been released by Empire.

The image shows our favorite Magizoologist, Newt Scamander, crouched next to his trusty case and pointing his wand in the opposite direction. But who – or what – is he pointing it at?

Of course, we’d be remiss if we didn’t point out the adorable newspaper clipping of Tina Goldstein that Mr. Scamander keeps pinned in his case. The clipping also reveals that Ms. Goldstein was reinstated as an Auror with MACUSA. Given her role in the capture of Grindelwald in the last film, that is no surprise. It also looks as though Newt has kept his tickets from his trip to New York as little mementos of his adventures, along with some sketches of some “fantastic beasts.” Perhaps they are drafts from his new book?

There is a bit of mystery as to where Newt is in this photo as well. What are those slightly terrifying red uniforms on the wall? Why does he look a bit panicked? The answers to these burning questions will be answered on November 16, 2018! For now, you can read more about the upcoming film in Empire‘s August issue!
