Barnes & Noble to Host “Explore the Magic” Events Nationwide

Barnes & Noble has hosted many incredible events in the past for a lot of books in J.K. Rowling’s wizarding world, and the bookselling company is looking to continue the tradition.

On November 17, Barnes & Noble stores nationwide will hold a special event to celebrate the release of the Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald film and original screenplay!

There are a ton of magical activities you’ll be able to take part in, including cosplay contests, competitions where you can flaunt your Hogwarts and Fantastic Beasts knowledge, and drawing a design for a wand. Enter giveaways to win special prizes, and receive access to promotions for sweets, treats, and other merchandise. A lot of the in-store-only exclusives are on sale beginning November 16 and sales will continue for the rest of the month and through December.

Our exclusive partner Insight Editions will also be taking part, and you’ll be given the chance to make your own DIY pop-up book designed by Matthew Reinhart, designer of Harry Potter: A Pop-Up Guide to Hogwarts! We had the opportunity to chat with both Matthew Reinhart and the illustrator of the pop-up book, Kevin Wilson, at New York Comic Con early last month, and it was really awesome to see the beautiful and incredibly detailed artwork.
