Rupert Grint and Ed Sheeran Team Up Again On “A Little More” Music Video

The much-sought-after reunion between Harry Potter’s Rupert Grint and singer Ed Sheeran is finally here. The pair has delivered their second on-screen collaboration in the form of Sheeran’s official music video for “A Little More,” which is out now.

It was a reunion 14 years in the making. Back in 2011, the endearing yet eerie “Lego House” music video saw Rupert Grint starring as Ed Sheeran’s obsessed alter ego, leaning into their uncanny resemblance, which Rupert has since commented on. Fast forward to 2025, and the two have once again joined forces in a clever, haunting follow-up video for the single “A Little More.”

The pair hinted at the reunion on Instagram prior to the song’s release.

The music video premiered on August 7, 2025, serving as the fourth single from Sheeran’s upcoming album, Play. This time, Grint reprises his role as the superfan-turned-stalker, now freshly released from prison after 14 years.

Sheeran described the video on Instagram:

14 years later me and @rupertgrint are reunited. I had this wild idea after writing the song, and thankfully rupert was up for it. It’s an utterly bonkers video for a very upbeat, fun, but angry song. Think this one is gonna be a lot of people’s fav song from Play.

Directed by Emil Nava, the video follows Grint’s character as he attempts to reintegrate into normal life, and fails miserably. His world is haunted by intrusive visions of Sheeran in everyday settings. Sheeran commented to Vogue, “I wanted the video to be pure chaos, and humorous – a bit like the ‘Lego House’ video, but we brought in the chaos from the get-go.”

One of the most eye-catching aspects of the video is the number of outfits used. Sheeran appears in over 250 thrifted costume changes, which were sourced from secondhand shops or resale sites, ranging from a wedding dress to various absurd disguises. All of them contribute to the video’s playful and comedic tone while also promoting sustainable fashion. Sheeran explained,

I didn’t want to be wasteful, especially as there were so many looks to get through. There are so many interesting clothes already out there, so it made sense to source them in this way.

The darkly comedic narrative reaches peak absurdity when Grint’s wedding turns into a Sheeran trip: As his bride (played by Game of Thrones actress Nathalie Emmanuel) walks down the aisle, it’s revealed that Sheeran’s face is on every guest, and even replaces the bride when the veil is lifted. The video delivers not just nostalgia but a delightfully twisted continuation of the Grint-Sheeran saga. It teases the upcoming album, Play, which is set to be released on September 12, 2025.

In another Instagram post, Sheeran described Grint as his “brother from another mother.”

I hadn’t worked with @rupertgrint in 14 years since Lego house, so didn’t know if he’d say yes to this idea. But I’m so glad he did. It’s such a fun, bonkers video … Rupert, my brother from another mother, thank you for throwing yourself into this, it wouldn’t exist had you said no.

From Hogwarts to chart-topping hits, Rupert Grint and Ed Sheeran clearly make a spellbinding duo. Who knows what they might do together next!?
