Rupert Grint Starts Filming New TV Series “Snatch”

The first of September marks a great many things: the start of fall, beginning of the Hogwarts school term, and of course, the filming for the TV series Snatch. Our favorite red-headed Hogwarts alumnus, Rupert Grint, was spotted on set for his first day of filming, decked out in an outfit that would have made the stylin’ Kingsley Shacklebolt green with envy.

Snatch is executive produced by Rupert and set for release on Sony’s streaming network Crackle. It’s a ten-episode short series based on the Sony movie of the same name, which was released in 2000. The heist story is set in London where a group of young, would-be hustlers by chance stumble upon a truck full of gold bars. The press release states,

The boys must quickly learn to navigate the treacherous waters of London’s underworld as rogue cops, gypsy fighters, international mobsters and local villains descend.

Rupert plays Charlie Cavendish, who looks remarkably more dapper than the wonderfully clueless Gryffindor hero we’ve come to know and love. Between his rather snappy bow-tie and his perfectly tailored suit, we may very well be looking at a whole new man (or con man in this case).
