Magical March Madness FINAL ROUND: Which Pair of Wizarding World Pals Would You Bring on an Adventure?

by Chelsea Korynta · March 25, 2019

The moment you’ve been waiting for is here! After weeks of voting, we’re down to the final two friend-ships in this year’s Magical March Madness.

The competition has been cutthroat, and each week, we’ve said goodbye to some wonderful pairs of pals. Of course, only two characters will be officially crowned Mugglenet’s Best Magical Adventure Friend-ship, so it’s important to cast your vote this week.

Without further ado, we present to you the final face-off!

Lupin & Black vs. Fred & George!

It’s really no surprise that these friend-ships ended up in the final round. Week after week, these two pairs of magical pals have triumphed in the competition. In the last round, both friend-ships took out pairings with Hermione Granger in them, which was a shocking upset!

Why Lupin & Black Should Win

Harry Potter fans love these Marauders for plenty of good reasons. Sirius and Remus have a strong, loyal friendship that lasts the better part of their lifetimes. They invented the Marauder’s Map, which left its mark on Hogwarts history and helped Harry out of some sticky situations. Sirius even became an Animagus just so that Remus wouldn’t feel so alone when he made his monthly transition into a werewolf. Of course, Remus and Sirius spent many years apart while Sirius was in Azkaban. Yet after Sirius escaped, they were able to come together to fight Voldemort in the Order of the Phoenix! These friends are great for so many reasons: They’re wickedly talented wizards and shape-shifters, and they have a thirst for danger and adventure. If you’re interested in taking risks or have a particular interest in the fight against Dark Magic, Remus and Sirius might be the adventure friend-ship for you.

Why Fred & George Should Win

While Sirius and Remus are close like brothers, Fred and George have the advantage of actually being brothers as well as close friends. Not all siblings can say they are best pals like these two! Fred and George have always had the same goals: to cause chaos, seek out mischief, and spread a love of tomfoolery and comedy to the magical community! It’s a little ironic that the Weasley twins are facing off against Remus and Sirius, two of the men who made the beloved map that Fred and George used so often to escape Filch after a prank. The Weasley twins aren’t just mindless mischief-makers, however. They’re also businessmen, and Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes stays open long after Fred’s passing during the Battle of Hogwarts (we’re still not over it either). That’s not to mention that the twins love Quidditch and would probably teach you some of their awesome Beater skills. If you’re a fan of rule-breaking, love a good laugh, or live your life to the silliest, hanging out with Fred and George might be your choice!
