Have You Ever Dreamed of Having a “Harry Potter”-Themed Wedding? Dreams Do Come True
Harry Potter fanatic Victoria Hutchinson and her now-husband, Christopher, had a dream-worthy Harry Potter-themed wedding. Back in June, MuggleNet published that Harry Potter-themed weddings are currently the biggest wedding theme for boards on Pinterest, so it’s no surprise that more people are taking to the idea.
Victoria and Christopher got engaged five years ago at Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter. Christopher had to inform the security guard of the plan and wrote Victoria’s name on the side of the ring box before planting it in the wand room at the end of the tour. Christopher then used a member of staff’s laser pointer to show the ring box off to Victoria before popping the question.

The happy couple waited over a year, due to COVID restrictions, to have their special day on the exact day Harry Potter himself was born – July 31. They were married at a registry office in 2020 but were desperate to have their special Harry Potter-themed wedding with their close friends and family.
The magical wedding took place at the Square Tower in Portsmouth, United Kingdom. The venue was transformed into an unmistakably beautiful vision of Hogwarts where the couple welcomed 70 guests to the ceremony and an extra 20 for an evening of music.

Victoria spoke to Portsmouth’s News about her spectacular wedding.
The wedding was a full Harry Potter theme from bridesmaids in Hogwarts’ [H]ouse colours to my bouquet that was made from Harry Potter book pages – symbolising the paper of one year of marriage. The venue had the perfect aesthetic, and the owners were fully on board with all my lofty visions of how I wanted the wedding to look.
