Fan Art of the Week: ‘Harry Lives’
This week’s Fan Art selection is titled, ‘Harry Lives’ and comes to us from Jen. The piece was created with acrylic paints and made, according to the artist, “the night before I snuck out to go to New York City (from my suburban Philadelphia home) to see the stars arrive at the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 Premiere, where multiple fans and news cameras took photos of it (and me; I was dressed as a Ravenclaw student).”
Noah’s Notes: Quite the story Jen! Fawkes almost seems to be embedded into the fiery background – and yet, it’s not – the bird actually appears to be ascending a wall of fire. The shining white streaks that Jen used to make the tail and the dark shading on the wings are excellent touches. Great work!
You can learn how to submit your own Harry Potter fan art to us as well as view our archives by heading to our Fan Art Section. Perhaps you can have your art piece highlighted on the front page just like Jen!
Don’t forget to enter our Pumpkin Carving Contest for October: One lucky winner will win a copy of Harry Potter Page to Screen – The Complete Filmmaking Journey.
