Trailer: Maggie Smith & Michael Gambon reunite for “Quartet”

Arguably one of the best duos in the Harry Potter series was that of Professor Minerva McGonagall & Professor Albus Dumbledore, portrayed by the very talented Dame Maggie Smith & Michael Gambon, respectively. Every scene that the pair was in together was either hilarious, moving, intriguing, or of course, magical. Well, now is your chance to check out their on-screen reunion!

Quartet, which releases in the US & UK on January 4, 2013, is a charming story about a home of retired opera singers, and what happens when an old member returns to stir up trouble. Smith plays Jean, the diva who comes back to stir up trouble. Gambon plays Cedric (how fitting!), one of the homes residents. The film is directed by Dustin Hoffman and also stars Billy Connolly, Sheridan Smith, Pauline Collins, & Tom Courtenay.

How do you feel about Gambon & Smith reuniting? Do you plan to see Quartet?

I am a 40-something Ravenclaw/Slytherin from Massachusetts. I've been lucky in life and can attribute a lot of that to Harry Potter. Without it, I wouldn't have at least 80% of the things I do today, including my career & closest friends. I truly despise Sirius Black.
