Release date for “The Philosophers” is approaching- UPDATE

It has been almost two years since we’ve seen Bonnie Wright, known for her role as Ginny Weasley in the Harry Potter films, on the big screen. Now, in her latest film The Philosophers, Bonnie will play Georgina, an international student studying in Jakarta.

According to Screen Daily, Bankside Films has picked up the film and will handle international sales, while Paradigm is in charge of North American Rights.

Written and directed by John Huddles, The Philosophers was shot entirely in Indonesia and will star fellow former Potter castmate Freddie Stroma (Cormac McLaggen).

From Screen Daily:

“The Philosophers takes place at an international school in Jakarta where a mysterious teacher challenges 20 senior students to an extreme survival test involving limited spaces in a nuclear bunker.”

The Philosophers sounds like an amazing film and we are certainly glad that it will be released internationally.
