Fan Art of the Week: Tattoos galore, PLUS a new fan art profile by Tina Pomeroy

by Keith Hawk · Published October 8, 2013 · Updated March 22, 2018

This week we are featuring a plethora of Harry Potter-inspired tattoos. These fellow Potter fans display their passions of the series in an artful – and permanent – way. And these moments will permanently be remembered for their inspiring events.

Check out all six tattoos below (click on the link to see the full size image):

  • Expecto Patronum: A fun tribute to the spell that gets rid of Dementors.
  • Harry’s Glasses: Harry’s world expressed through some iconic symbols.
  • “I Solemnly Swear…”: A tattoo to symbolize the mischief that come after speaking that phrase.
  • Lumos: A colorful homage to one of the most useful spells in the wizarding world.
  • Mischief Managed: A whimsical display of this famous phrase.
  • The Dream: An interpretation to the illustration of Goblet of Fire‘s Chapter 29 “The Dream.”

Interns’ notes: The detail of Harry on an owl in “The Dream” is so spectacular. The instant we viewed it we knew exactly where it came from. It’s as if the tattoo has navigated you back to that exact moment and Harry’s feelings of being in flight.

Another favorite of ours is “Harry’s Glasses.” Again, the detail in this tattoo is really great, especially on the glasses and the Gryffindor shield. It’s also a great representation of Harry – the Gryffindor lion, the Golden Snitch, the Deathly Hallows, and his signature glasses to top it all off.

We would also like to tell you about the addition to Tina Pomeroy’s fan art profile.
