Give us your theories: One week left to submit to October’s “Quibbler” contest!

Earlier this month, we asked you to come up with your best theory about J.K. Rowling’s infamous Fantastic Beasts tweet:

Newt Scamander only meant to stay in New York for a few hours.

You still have a week left to send us an interesting interpretation! To give you some inspiration, we’re pointing you way back in the Quibbler‘s archive. Back in the days before all of the Harry Potter books had come out, fans had some pretty crazy theories about what was coming next. Draco the werewolf? A romance between Professors Trelawney and Lupin? Umbridge is Trevor?! As you can see, our fandom is no stranger to out-there theories, so why not continue the tradition?

The deadline for entries is Monday, November 3. Send us your best theory at, and the winning editorial (or editorials) will be featured in MuggleNet’s Quibbler section.

Have any other favorite “crazy” theories from the old days? Let us know in the comments!
