Chinese Fireballs: Spicy Meatballs

Not only are these meatballs easy to prepare, but they are also an efficient way to have your guests serve themselves and give you some much-needed time to cater to other hosting duties. Be sure to experiment with different dips/sauces of varying intensity to accompany this hot finger food. Those who shy away from spicy dishes should consider themselves warned!

Servings 24 meatballs


  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1/2 cup jam raspberry
  • 1 Tbsp. mustard
  • 1/4 tsp. liquid smoke
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • black pepper (to taste)
  • 1 Tbsp. sriracha (optional)
  • 24 meatballs prepackaged


  • Combine all ingredients (except meatballs) in a medium-sized sauce pan, and bring to simmer.
  • Prepare meatballs according to package instructions.
  • Add meatballs to simmering sauce.
  • Serve warm.
