First teaser image from BBC’s “The Casual Vacancy” adaptation released!

Over the last few months, we’ve waited eagerly for more news on the upcoming adaptation of J.K. Rowling’s novel, The Casual Vacancy. We’ve had news about the cast, which includes Sir Michael Gambon (Albus Dumbledore) and Simon McBurney (Kreacher in Deathly Hallows – Part 1), pictures from set, and a glimpse of the show in the new BBC drama trailer.

But now, BBC has released the first official image from the adaptation!

The image shows Julia Mckenzie and Keeley Hawes as Shirley and Samantha Mollison:
