Social Roundup: British elections, “slyther-ins,” and some sound advice
The UK elections were off to a wildly entertaining start this week. Without pinpointing any one party in particular, the Potter cast sure did have some subtle and not-so-subtle commentary on the political activities.
Jessie Cave provided a millennial response to the typical question of “did you vote?”

While Katie Leung illustrated the conundrum of not voting at all.

James Phelps reassured his followers that he took advantage of the mail-in ballot.
And before anyone says, yes I did my election vote by post 2 weeks ago. One of the best things about the free world is being able to vote

Meanwhile his brother, Oliver, took a slightly different route and put the elections into a historical perspective.
Make sure you vote today Great Britain. People fought and died so you could. It's your right, every vote counts. 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧✔️

And of course Matthew Lewis offered his own political insight. An accompanying breakfast item was included.
Things Matt learnt this week: British politics needs a discussion about proportional representation and chicken sausages are ace.

But not without one last jab by Rohan Gotobed.

Politics aside, Tom Felton’s fundraising T-shirt was released this week. Much to the approval of Ron…

… and the disapproval of Lucius. Who looks like he’s either off to Coachella or a cosplay event gone awry.

However, swift revenge is being promised.
That was strictly a family snap. Now I'll have to release the pix of you on your potty. #dontmesswithdad @TomFelton https://t.co/L9loa06fTT

Finally, where would we be without this week’s “do-gooder”: J.K. Rowling? For even though she lost the wager on the baby’s name…
.@Oryzaem "So, Royal baby's name is Charlotte. I'm sad it's not Victoria" I was hoping for Nymphadora but no, not even a middle name.

… she provided some beautifully depicted wisdom.

.@BrocaesarTV And I'd say, the world is full of wonderful things you haven't seen yet. Don't ever give up on the chance of seeing them.
