How did you become a Harry Potter fan?

When I was six years old I saw the first three movies, and I loved the [w]izarding w]orld and the story. I was also a sort of an advanced reader, so my uncle suggested to me that I read the books. The books were absolutely fantastic, and before I knew it I was casting spells, flying on a broomstick, and making potions around the house. (I put so many toxic things in these “potions.” It is a miracle I’m alive.) Harry Potter has been a part of me since I was a little kid, [but] I truly became a Potterhead when I saw […] Deathly Hallows [-] Part 1 in theaters. I realized my seven-year-old imagination of the book was all wrong, so I decided to read Deathly Hallows for the third time. After that, I read the entire series over, and loved it in more words than I could describe. Needless to say, the magic began again, and it will never fade.

Describe what being part of the Harry Potter fandom has meant to you in seven words or less.

It has made my life truly magical.

What Potter fandom memory would you keep in your Pensieve?

My favorite memory from the Potter fandom is when […] Deathly Hallows was released. I was a very excited seven-year-old, who had read all the books and had waited for this moment. My dad came home from work a little early, and when I saw him he was holding the beautiful big hardcover book that I had been waiting for. I was so happy! I stayed up all night to finish it! When morning came I had forgotten half the book and started to read it over.

What do you think you might see if given the chance to look into the Mirror of Erised?

I would see myself holding a new pair of socks; you can never have too many socks. Okay, just kidding. If I had the chance to look in the Mirror of Erised I would probably have to be a wizard at Hogwarts. In which case I would probably just see myself exactly as I am because that would be my heart’s deepest desire.
