Social Roundup: All Work and No Play…

by Sophie Reid · October 17, 2015

This week was all about work for many of our Potter alumni – luckily for us that work is bursting with exciting roles and TV shows. And don’t worry, there was some time for having fun and reminiscing too.

Jessie Cave announced that she would be having another run of her Edinburgh Fringe show, I Loved Her, in London.

Very happy to say I have another run @sohotheatre of #ilovedher in December ????? http://t.co/Lu7vqs2dIB ?????? pic.twitter.com/DK2j3w8R3M

Rohan Gotobed took to the stage for the last night of a school production.

J.K. Rowling attended Henry Fraser’s art exhibition.

Matt Lewis mixed work and play,

and had time for some celebrating…

“And when Alexander saw the breadth of his domain, he wept for there were no more worlds to conquer.” Leeds Rhinos, Super League Champions, 2015. Evanna Lynch continued with her wave of good deeds. Last week, she was protesting against live animal exports; this week, she was in Romania with rescued bears.

Here’s I am with JEAN the BEAR!! At a sanctuary in Romania for rescued bears! Can you tell I’m excited?! https://t.co/4vYnFrDYTs

Meanwhile, Daniel Radcliffe released images from his El Pais Icon shoot.

While for Tom Felton, there was space to fit in a holiday.

Although it wasn’t without its difficulties…

And finally, Matt Lewis urged everyone to go see Suffragette (which features Helena Bonham Carter),

Suffragette is a powerful movie and Carey Mulligan is just superb. It’s really important you see it, like now. Go on, I’ll wait here. — Matthew Lewis (@Mattdavelewis) October 16, 2015

while Evanna shared her delight at the new Jim Kay illustrated edition.

Reentering childhood/losing my mind over the beautiful Jim Kay illustrated PS! This one is particularly breathtaking. ? #JimKay #illustratedphilosophersstone #HPreread #mirroroferised A photo posted by Evanna Lynch (@msevylynch) on Oct 14, 2015 at 5:15am PDT

Yes, Evanna, we all agree – it’s absolutely stunning and one of our favorites too!

That’s it for this week! What was your social media highlight for the week? Let us know in the comments!

Potter History

October 26, 2005 – A Canadian band named “The Wyrd Sisters” applied for an injunction to ban the Goblet of Fire movie in Canada.

Potter Quote

“I suggest you both go up to Madam Pomfrey. She is already tending to Miss Fawcett, of Ravenclaw, and Mr. Summers, of Hufflepuff, both of whom decided to age themselves up a little too. Though I must say, neither of their beards is anything like as fine as yours.”
