Social Media Roundup: 19 Years Later Special

by Sophie Reid · September 2, 2017

September 1 equals Back to Hogwarts, and this year marked 19 years later, as seen in the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows epilogue. The day saw thousands of fans gathering to celebrate, from a gathering at King’s Cross London at 11:00 a.m. GMT, to MuggleNet’s very own live event at Universal Orlando, MuggleNet Live! 2017: Nineteen Years Later. Check out some of the highlights in our social roundup special edition.

In the UK, fans gathered at King’s Cross, and the crowd included a certain Warwick Davis.

Going #BackToHogwarts today via Kings Cross Station #Platform934 for some magical fun! #19YearsLater Wands & robes optional. #SwishAndFlick

Meanwhile, preparations were underway for a special day at the Palace Theatre.

And of course, there was cake. There’s always cake.

Hmm. It *is* strange to think that Albus has been boarding the train for a whole year in the West End, but that's magic for you #CursedChild https://t.co/b1UYNmBzSx

While Jason Isaacs was wondering what could have been.

It could have all been so different, if only I'd picked the winning side.

Potter Quote

“I don’t know who Maxime thinks she’s kidding. If Hagrid’s half-giant, she definitely is. Big bones… the only thing that’s got bigger bones than her is a dinosaur.”
