Introducing “Beyond the Veil”: A “Potter” Podcast About Mental Health
Why does the Harry Potter series mean so much to so many people? Potter has changed the lives of the people reading it for more than 20 years now. Fans have found sanctuary in the wizarding world. They’ve dealt with mental health crises, overcome major obstacles, and made powerful life changes with a little help from their favorite wizard. Listen to the first episode of MuggleNet’s new podcast, Beyond the Veil, to hear stories like these from fans around the world.
Join us for conversations about how the Potter series has helped people move through difficult times and affected their lives for the better. It’s not always easy to put our difficult feelings into words, but for many of us, the Potter series gives us the language we need to share our experiences and make new connections.
Everyone deserves a chance to share their story, and that means everyone is invited to share their experiences on Beyond the Veil. We’d love to hear how the Potter series has helped you! There’s no story too big or too small. If Harry Potter has helped you deal with your mental health, work through a struggle, or make an important decision, then you are more than welcome to join us as a guest on the show. People of all sexualities, gender identities, races, and religions, people with physical or mental disabilities, and people with mental health problems are all welcome to have a conversation in the headmaster’s office.

We want everyone to have a chance to share their story, but we know that some stories are more difficult to share than others. On every show, we will have a Whisper, a two-to-five-minute story submitted by an anonymous listener. Have a story you’d like to share as a Whisper? Please fill out the form on our website. Your name and email are not required. You may share your story by typing it out into the text box or by sending an audio file (.mp3 or .wav) to us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
