Social Media Roundup: Showing Support and Keeping Busy at Home

Welcome back to another Social Media Roundup! In this edition, the stars of the Wizarding World share what they have been doing to keep busy during self-isolation, give thanks to front-line workers, and share words of wisdom.

Giving thanks to all the front-line workers during this trying time was Katie Leung (Cho Chang), who shared a video of people clapping and cheering from their homes.

Emma Watson did the same. Every Thursday at 8:00 p.m. in the United Kingdom, the public joins together to clap and cheer for the National Health Service and other key workers.

Watson also emphasized the importance of staying home.

When sharing a picture of her cat, Evanna Lynch wondered if Puff had noticed that everything has changed.

Lynch also posted a Kinder Beauty Box demo and hinted at a possible new writing project.

I did a new @kinderbeautybox demo, and -not to be outdone – Puff simultaneously gave a Persian self-grooming demo, up on the stories now. It’s totally up to you who you take beauty tips from. 💁🏼‍♀️😼 . Hope you guys got your March @kinderbeautybox and they bring a bit of joy and relief from the heaviness of self isolation! I really wanted to hug my postman when he brought it, it was so nice to make eye contact and smile at an actual person that I got a bit teary-eyed and then he looked like he thought I needed a hug (I so do) and then there was a moment of silent acknowledgment that it wasn’t worth potentially killing each other and he left my box on the doorstep and turned away 🙁 anyway I wish you a nice day and a less emotionally charged exchange with your postman 😬Thank you to our vegan & cruelty free products this month! @glaminizers @esw.beauty @medusasmakeup @opagee @willingbeautycompany If you’d like to subscribe to get vegan & CF products direct to your door click the link in my bio! 💋 #KinderBeautyBox #veganmakeup #crueltyfree #veganbeauty #smallbusiness

Shoutout to everyone else who’s been threatening to write a book for the past 5 years and has been praying for time to do that and now has literally NO EXCUSE. Woe is us! 😬I am not saying the procrastinators are solely responsible for manifesting this pandemic…but my friend @in.spiritus always told me if I didn’t sit down and write soon the universe would ‘play dirty’ and well…if this ain’t that. Also, I really miss being able to reply to long unanswered emails by saying ‘life has been really busy’, sadly the truth is out that I cannot be bothered to do…so many things 😬😬 K goodbye for now, I hopefully won’t be online much, it’s now or never. Ps. Ty for the cute stickers @styngvi & @zephyrlondon #writingishard #goodlucktousall

Reminding us to wash our paws – we mean, hands – was Tom Felton’s dog.

While his brother, Oliver Phelps (George Weasley), retraced the time he has spent in stadiums and arenas through the years.

Wishing her mother a happy Mother’s Day on March 22 was Bonnie Wright.

And taking time to share his support for International Transgender Day of Visibility on March 31 was Chris Rankin (Percy Weasley).

Finally, spreading words of wisdom and saying what we all may need to hear right now were Jamie Campbell Bower (young Gellert Grindelwald) and Oliver Phelps.
