Interactive Maps and Special Encounters: “Harry Potter: Puzzles & Spells” Launches New Club Challenge
“Excitement, mystery and friendship” are the words Yaron Leyvand, Executive Vice President of Games at Zynga, uses to describe the essence of the Harry Potter series, and these same words also sum up the exciting new Club Challenge event that has just been launched in Harry Potter: Puzzles & Spells.
The new Forbidden Forest Club Challenge
Today, Harry Potter: Puzzles & Spells launched its first-ever Club Challenge in-game event. Players of the game will know that Puzzles & Spells is mostly a solo journey, making your way through the different puzzles, often taking part in fun events that are added throughout the year.
You can also join a club, where you can socialize with other players, “collaborate on puzzle strategies, share lives and vie for prizes in exclusive Club Events.” Within these club events, the more points you earn, the further up the leaderboard the club climbs, eventually receiving prizes if it’s promoted, or getting demoted if beaten by others.
The new Club Challenge will allow players to “connect and collaborate with Clubmates in more meaningful ways.” It is a recurring, time-limited event series that unlocks at Level 55 and spans up to three weeks at a time. It will transport players to new, unique locations on interactive maps, filled with hidden obstacles, special encounters, and rewards.
The new Club Challenge in “Harry Potter: Puzzles & Spells”
These maps are marked with puzzles that must be tackled in order to progress to the next one. Players will receive three daily lives within the Club Challenge (different from their regular lives) and points for each completed puzzle. It’s a game of teamwork, and those who contribute by earning points will receive rewards and help contribute to their Club’s league ranking.
For the first Club Challenge, players will be leaving the comfort of Hogwarts Castle and finding themselves in the Forbidden Forest.
As Clubmates explore the mythical forest, they’ll uncover rare but revered [a]rtefacts from the wizarding world, like the coveted House Cup or the [s]word of Gryffindor, to gain access to the final puzzle. In the final showdown, players must team up to defeat some of the most ferocious creatures found in the forest, including the [m]ountain [t]roll and Hungarian Horntail, or Ron’s most loathsome foe, Aragog.
With the chance to meet exclusive characters and creatures, explore new locations, and collaborate with our teammates, the Club Challenge sounds like a spellbinding adventure that we can’t wait to begin!
