“SpeakBeasty” Episode 135: “Am I the Drama?”

In this episode of SpeakBeasty, we delve into the magical music of the Fantastic Beasts series. As host Marjolaine so eloquently states, James Newton Howard is a “[bleep]ing genius [bleep].”

Hosts Ann, Geoff, Marjolaine, and Shannen discuss composer James Newton Howard’s work on the Fantastic Beasts series so far and what we may be able to expect in the next installment. In a recent interview with Score: The Podcast, Newton Howard described the then-unnamed third film as “the best yet.” Thanks to an announcement coming before we recorded this episode, we now know the film is called Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore and will be released in theaters next April.

With the curse of news dropping the day after recording seemingly broken, our hosts discuss the title reveal and brief synopsis Warner Bros. also released. How do the three film titles we have so far connect? Could each be a nod to how Newt sees the story and what jumps out as most important to him?

This week’s podcast question is “What do you think the ‘secrets of Dumbledore’ are, or which Dumbledore’s secrets are they?” Send us your thoughts and theories at SpeakBeasty@gmail.com, or reach out to us on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram!

Since I spent too much time worrying about the correct way to write this bio, this is all I was able to come up with before the deadline.
