Social Media Roundup: Moments in Time

by Sarah Wylde · October 3, 2021

Welcome to the latest Social Media Roundup, where we see what some of the Wizarding World stars have been sharing over the past two weeks, including a new home, mom tips, pregnancy moments, a birthday, fall vibes, and more.

First up, it was a particular Slytherin’s birthday. Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy) celebrated turning 34 by giving thanks to his followers for their love and support and raising money for the Jed Foundation. The Jed Foundation is a nonprofit that helps youth with emotional health and suicide awareness.

33 years done – good lord it’s been so much fun getting here – yet, somehow, I still feel the best is yet to come – thank you all for your love , support & sense of humour – let’s keep a good thing going – to the next 33 xx pic.twitter.com/OkF8nW1HpV

Meanwhile, celebrating the first weekend in his new home, Chris Rankin (Percy Weasley) spent a calming morning appreciating his surroundings.

Sinead Matthews (Mildred) shared a pregnancy tip for chafing thighs and showed off its effectiveness.

New mom Afshan Azad (Padma Patil) shared a mom tip with us, one to remember.

Note to self: when changing a baby’s pooey nappy, NEVER I repeat NEVER move hair away from your own face. Just don’t go near your face, at all: You WILL 100% most likely get some sort of poop on your face. Fact.

Channeling major fall vibes by showing off the October contents of the Kinder Beauty Box was Evanna Lynch (Luna Lovegood).

Meanwhile, Bonnie Wright (Ginny Weasley) was doing a recording for a project in what looks like a beautiful orchard. We can’t wait to hear what the project is!

Lastly, in a look back at last year, Natalia Tena (Nymphadora Tonks) reflected on when she took part in a long walking journey raising money for the Orchid Project.

Potter History

January 19, 2005 – David Yates is officially named as the director of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.

Potter Quote

“My brothers, my sisters. The clock is ticking faster. We who live for freedom, for truth, and for love. The moment has come to share my vision of the future that awaits if we do not rise up and take our rightful place in the world. Where we wizards are free. Aurors, join me in this circle, pledge to me your eternal allegiance, or die.”
