Celebrate the Summer Solstice in Style with “Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery”

by Brittany Bennett · June 23, 2022

The fact that June is almost over is hard for all of us to believe. If you’ve spent the month catching up on Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery like most of us have, then you know this month has been loaded with adventures, magical creatures, and signature outfits. Grab a cold butterbeer, and let’s unpack the month of in-game goodies.

We’re all about the styles of Hogwarts Mystery. In honor of Pride Month, all players can receive a free outfit until the end of June. Having an outfit like this in our Muggle world would make any Pride celebration complete.

Since we celebrated the first day of summer this week, the June Magical Milestones outfit is pretty perfect for the occasion. The Spells & Shells fit has us wishing we had our toes in the sand. It seems that inflation is also affecting the wizarding world because the key cost this month will use up a lot of your gems.

We’re the best-dressed witches and wizards in Hogwarts right now, so let’s get into our story line. Chapter 38 had us in a tizzy over the ongoing tension, and honestly, we were NOT prepared for what we found out in the Shrieking Shack in Chapter 39. Our heads are still spinning, and we have more questions now than we did at the beginning of the chapter, but what’s new? Thanks to Merula and her wishy-washy actions and our curious nature, we’re in deep dragon dung.

Letting off some steam at the Quidditch pitch might be exactly what our characters need after the plot twist of Chapter 39. Chapters 4 and 5 are ready for play. After hearing about a secret weapon in the previous chapters, we find out the rumors are true – even if it isn’t in the way we expected. After watching the Wellnelly twins, who are exceptionally good at Quidditch, we determine it’s best to learn everything we can about this duo.

While you’re roaming about the castle, you might have noticed that when earning Chocolate Frog cards, there are also jinxed Chocolate Frog card fragments. This is a new way to earn more Chocolate Frog cards in-game. By collecting the jinxed fragments, you can earn enough to mend the pieces together, which could lead to a new special variant card to add to your collection.

Now that it’s officially summer, a lot of us are wanting to spend more time outdoors – pets included. Cruppies are always excited to be bounding around outside, so it’s the perfect time to upgrade your Cruppy to the new Golden Retriever pet skin. While you’re shopping for new looks for your pets, did you notice that we can finally shop for chair options in our dorms? Please give us something bright and cheerful so we can get the image of the same old chair out of our memories.

It’s not a true update without a new magical creature. The Graphorn has been sighted in the Desert Dunes, and our favorite friendly half-giant could use a hand to befriend the creature. Luckily for Hagrid, we know someone who’s perfect for the task.

The flowers decorating the castle have us so excited for the Hogsmeade Festival. We can’t wait to do some serious shopping, but it seems like the festival is in peril due to total bad luck. Something we’ve learned is that things are not always what they seem – do you have it in you to save the festival? In honor of this special adventure, we can now tour the festival grounds, and the decorations are stunning.

There’s a lot riding on our character’s shoulders right now. Creatures need us, our friends need us, and overall, the entire wizarding world does. We think it’s time for our characters to take a step back and smell the flowers because saving the world can wait one more day, right? Keep logging in every day because there are new adventures about to be released, as well as some energy for a very special house-elf’s birthday.
