“SpeakBeasty” Episode 154: “Ominous Vibes”

Were you confused by the election in Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore? You’re not alone. In this episode of SpeakBeasty, our hosts try to make sense of the politics seen in the film.

In this episode, hosts Ann and Marjolaine are joined by special guests Liz and Chris to discuss what we think happened in the election and how it could be fixed to make more sense to viewers. From proposed voting systems to more insight into the candidates for Supreme Mugwump, the team dives into the political side of the Fantastic Beasts series.

We also discuss several pieces of Wizarding World news, including a new experience opening up this fall. Harry Potter: Magic at Play is expected to be located in Chicago. Our hosts also look at the streaming performance of Secrets of Dumbledore and San Diego Comic-Con exclusive merchandise.

This week’s podcast question is “We created a magical voting system. How do you think wizards would vote?” Send us your thoughts and theories at SpeakBeasty@gmail.com, or reach out to us on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram!

I was 9 years old when I discovered the magic that is “Harry Potter.” I am a proud Hufflepuff and exceedingly good at eating, reading, being sarcastic, and over-thinking small tasks. Since I spent too much time worrying about the correct way to write this bio, this is all I was able to come up with before the deadline.
