“SpeakBeasty” Episode 166: “A Different Type of Heroine”

SpeakBeasty is excited to welcome special guest Victoria Yeates to our latest episode to talk about her experience portraying Bunty in the Fantastic Beasts films!

Our hosts love any opportunity to talk about Newt’s indispensable assistant, a strong character in her own right, Bunty Broadacre. Victoria was kind enough to join us for an exclusive interview. We covered her audition process for the film, memorable moments on set, and unexpected developments for her character. Victoria even gave us the scoop on some deleted scenes and changes to her character’s arc between Films 2 and 3. She said Bunty was originally meant to “save the day” in Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, but due to circumstances and some of her own time constraints, that plan got pushed off down the line to the third film.

To hear everything Victoria told us, you will just have to listen to the full episode!

This week’s podcast question is “Which Fantastic Beasts film set would you like to see in the Studio Tour or the theme parks?” Send us your thoughts and theories at SpeakBeasty@gmail.com, or reach out to us on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram!

I was 9 years old when I discovered the magic that is “Harry Potter.” I am a proud Hufflepuff and exceedingly good at eating, reading, being sarcastic, and over-thinking small tasks. Since I spent too much time worrying about the correct way to write this bio, this is all I was able to come up with before the deadline.
