Emma Watson Launches Feminist Book Club Our Shared Shelf
Emma Watson, proud feminist, UN Women Goodwill Ambassador, and the closest we have to a real-life Hermione Granger, just started her own book club. Moreover, being the wonderful fan-inclusive celebrity she is, she’s made sure that you can be a part of it! Yesterday, January 7, Emma took to social media to announce that she wanted to start a feminist book club and requested that her fans help her with title suggestions for the club.
Hi Team, ❤️ I want to start a feminist book club but so far have only brainstormed ‘Feminist Book Club’ and ‘Emma Watson Book Club’.

Eventually, the former Potter star selected the fan-suggested name Our Shared Shelf.
It’s official – ‘Our Shared Shelf’ is up and running. First book – My life on the road. https://t.co/nVWNPy21za

The first book selected for the book club is My Life on the Road, an autobiography of feminist and social/political activist Gloria Steinem. You can join Emma’s group on Goodreads here and follow her Goodreads profile here.
This seems like a great way to involve and communicate with fans and fellow feminists. What do you think about Emma’s feminist book club? Would you like to be a part of it? Let us know in the comments below!
