I Am a… Thunderbird?

I’m a Hufflepuff proud and true. However, much like everybody else, Ilvermorny sparked my curiosity. I was sitting there staring at the start screen before beginning the quiz worrying about the fate of my Hufflepuffdom.

I went through the quiz quite quickly, not giving myself time to overthink the answers I was giving. Then it was over. I was declared a Thunderbird.

Hmmmm… Thunderbird. I know why I’m a Hufflepuff but not why I’m a Thunderbird. Rowling gave me little clues to the nature of my new House by describing the creator and what it favors. I came to realize it actually fits. Chadwick is described as an intelligent yet temperamental boy on Pottermore’s posting on Ilvermorny. These two characteristics seem to describe me as well. My temper can be an issue in some situations. It is quick to flare up and hard to calm down. I have gotten better at controlling it, but there are days and situations I still have issues. I’m very passionate about certain subjects and get very defensive when they are attacked.

I don’t really understand what “the soul” refers to. I can only assume that it relates to a kind and caring nature (you know what happens when we assume). The adventure preference for Thunderbird is slowly becoming more and more fitting, too. As I’m getting older, I am breaking myself out of my shell and trying new things. I’m becoming more adventurous, and I’m proud of myself for it.

Overall, I’m pleased with my Ilvermorny Sorting. It seems to fit relatively well with my personality as I know it. It also balances well with my pre-established Hufflepuff status. I can’t wait to learn more about my other House!! Rowling, hurry, please!!
