The Cast of “The Flash” Adopts Tom Felton

by Cheyenne Padgett · July 25, 2016

Nice face, Potter!

Guess who has found himself in another lightning bolt family?

Last weekend at San Diego Comic-Con, our favorite villain heartthrob, Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy) officially joined the cast of the CW’s The Flash. In a Facebook Live interview with Entertainment Tonight, Felton appeared with the cast for the very first time. He may be the newbie on set, but in true Felton fashion, it’s hard NOT to love him.

It’s always very nerve-racking when you’re joining such a well-oiled machine, but I’ve only been around them for less than a few days, and I already feel like part of the family.

The upcoming third season of the show will introduce a new plot line due to existence of Flashpoint.

Flashpoint is a comic book crossover that tells the story of an altered universe where Barry Allen (the Flash himself) travels back in time to prevent his mother’s murder, thereby creating an entirely new universe where he never became a CSI and never lived with Joe and Iris West. Team Flash will no longer be Team Flash, and new characters will be introduced to compensate for the new storyline.

This is where the fabulous Tom Felton comes in.

Felton will star as Central City Police Department crime scene investigator Julian Dorn in the show’s upcoming third season. With the altered storylines introduced in Flashpoint, the CW is gearing up for a massive crossover between The Flash, Arrow, Supergirl, and Legends of Tomorrow—something that is bound to knock your socks off. Now, the cast has no idea what this crossover will entail, but I am sure it will be a tangled web of action and humor, something like what the previous two seasons of The Flash has come in with (maybe even romance???).

The complete interview with Entertainment Tonight can be watched at this link or down below! Stick it out to the end to see the cast of The Flash become real action figures!

Fans don’t yet know about the details of Tom Felton’s character, but during the show’s Comic-Con panel last weekend, he said,

Any character I play you should see as a threat.

Spoken like a true Malfoy! Felton was just teasing his fans at this point, later admitting that he really does not know what is in the works for his character and that he has tried his hardest to learn. Smiling, he also said,

I tried to get both of these writers tipsy last night, to pry some information out of them. I’m not sure. In the first two episodes that we’ve gotten so for, there’s definitely friction [with Barry]… There'[re] some feathers ruffled.

We will know what is in store for the show’s third season in due course, but until then, weigh in on what you think will happen in the next season!

Are there any Flashpoint experts out there? 🙂
