Review & Giveaway: Geek Gear’s August Limited-Edition World of Wizardry Unboxing!

by Lucy O'Shea · October 13, 2018

Spending the whole month of August away from our friends at Hogwarts was tough – how were we meant to pass the time without any magic? Thankfully, our friends at Geek Gear had just the thing to keep us occupied until school started. Take a look at our video review of the World of Wizardry’s August Limited-Edition subscription box and then enter to win a Limited-Edition box of your very own!

  • One exclusive 3D print

Aimee's Review - Slytherin Box
There were some really cool items in the Limited-Edition box, but unfortunately, one of my items came broken. The ceramic mug I received had no handle, and the pieces that had broken off during shipping were lying all over the inside of my box.

We received three T-shirts in this box, which is more than we have ever received before. My favorite was the shirt with the stag on it, although the Sirius Black shirt had me feeling all the feels.

The best thing about this box, however, was the 3D print of the stag that seemed to move when you tilted the print. It came framed and ready to be hung on the wall. Such a cool print to add to my collection!

Lizzie's Review - Gryffindor Box
Opening the huge box, I wasn't quite sure of what to expect! I was surprised to see a number of items I'd considered buying from the licensed range - Geek Gear really spoiled us for this box. The Hogwarts Express notebook was perfectly timed for students heading back to Hogwarts and it was great to have something I could use in my Muggle life.

The Marauder's Map mug was something I whipped out of the box and began to use immediately, but this would have made a lovely gift if I hadn't needed a cup of coffee!

I really loved how the shirts in the box would appeal to everyone. They had a different style to each image and one even had long sleeves. Geek Gear definitely went all out in this Limited-Edition box!

Megan's Review - Slytherin Box
I was immediately excited when I got the mail and noticed that this box was much larger. Though the box wasn't as cool-looking as the others, and the tissue paper was the wrong color, I was still very pleased with its contents.

The mandrake necklace is absolutely gorgeous, and although I'm not much of a jewelry wearer, I can definitely see myself wearing it. The T-shirts, as always, were very high quality, and I loved that the Sirius Black one was long sleeved, since we are finally entering into fall weather and long sleeves will come in handy.

I was probably the most excited about the mug and coaster because I drink a piping hot cup of black coffee every morning when I get to work, and the coaster goes with the other Potter coasters that I keep on my desk at work! I'm slowly but surely making my whole desk Potter themed.

You will not be disappointed with this Limited-Edition box!

Now it’s your turn to experience the magic from Geek Gear’s World of Wizardry! Enter our contest below for your chance to win an August Limited-Edition box. Potter Quote

“I know what you are known as. But to me, I’m afraid, you will always be Tom Riddle. It is one of the irritating things about old teachers. I am afraid that they never quite forget their charges’ youthful beginnings.”
