Galloping Gargoyles! Dan, Emma, and Rupert to Reunite for HBO Max Special in January 2022

by Aly Kirk · November 16, 2021

It’s happening. It’s really happening! Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint are reuniting in celebration of the 20 years since Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone hit theaters.

It’s a long-awaited occasion, and fans can expect nothing less than a special and heartwarming walk down memory lane. The golden trio will not be the only ones coming to the party either. Helena Bonham Carter (Bellatrix Lestrange), Robbie Coltrane (Rubeus Hagrid), Ralph Fiennes (Lord Voldemort), Gary Oldman (Sirius Black), Imelda Staunton (Dolores Umbridge), Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy), James Phelps (Fred Weasley), Oliver Phelps (George Weasley), Mark Williams (Arthur Weasley), Bonnie Wright (Ginny Weasley), Alfred Enoch (Dean Thomas), Matthew Lewis (Neville Longbottom), Evanna Lynch (Luna Lovegood), and Sorcerer’s Stone and Chamber of Secrets director Christopher Columbus are all expected to make appearances in a new HBO Max special, Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts.

This is an experience that every witch, wizard, and Muggle will connect with. A recent article announcing the HBO Max special gave a little insight into what we can expect to see.

There is something for every fan here – from those who have been with Harry Potter from the very beginning to those who are just discovering the wonders of the Wizarding World. Not only will you get to go behind-the-scenes [sic] of these incredible movies, but there will [also] be in-depth interviews, never-before-seen clips, special guests and a few extra exciting surprises along the way.

Social media has been lighting up with posts about the occasion, and a new trailer has also made its way through the Internet.
