Bonnie Wright and Jason Isaacs to Speak at Upcoming “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” Performances

Are you going to see Harry Potter and the Cursed Child at the Lyric Theatre in New York soon? If so, you might be in luck and get to see a post-show talkback with either Bonnie Wright or Jason Isaacs, who played Ginny Weasley and Lucius Malfoy, respectively, in the original Harry Potter films.

Producers of Cursed Child in New York announced these talkbacks earlier this month. On April 30, Wright will join the show’s cast as a featured guest for a talkback, while Isaacs will appear on stage on May 1. All attendees of the shows are invited to stay at the theatre for the talkback with no additional cost to their tickets.

These shows mark the first talkbacks at Cursed Child with special guests. Previous talkbacks have been focused more toward school groups for educational purposes, so we’re excited to see how these go and to find out if we can expect any more general audience talkbacks in the future.

The talkbacks are happening with the help of Audience Rewards, the official loyalty program for Broadway. Users can gain ShowPoints for every ticket purchased for any affiliated show, which can then be redeemed for free tickets, collectibles, and exclusive experiences. Members will be able to earn 1000 ShowPoints by attending a performance of Cursed Child with a talkback.

Most recent Cursed Child developments have involved the current North American tour of the production, which announced new cities in February. The tour still has plenty more dates to go, and tickets are available for both tour shows and the talkback shows in New York on the official Cursed Child website.

Are you hoping to catch Wright or Isaacs in New York?
