“Potter” gets nomination from Costume Design Guild but snubbed by Cinema Audio Society

The nominations were released today from the Costume Design Guild and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 (costume designer Jany Temime) was nominated in the category of Excellence in Fantasy Film.

Deathly Hallows – Part 2 will be competing with Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, Red Riding Hood, Thor, and X-Men: First Class.

On a disappointing note however, Harry Potter was NOT nominated by the Cinema Audio Society even though the film received nominations from the BAFTAs and Won Best Sound at the Critics Choice Awards. The nominations they selected over Deathly Hallows – Part 2 was Hanna, Hugo, Moneyball, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, and Super 8.
