This year’s Oscars ceremony, hosted by Ellen DeGeneres, took place last night in Hollywood. The big winner of the night was Gravity, the movie directed and produced by Alfonso Cuarón and David Heyman. It walked away with seven awards. In addition, Earlier this week Cuarón spoke about his son’s role in getting the concept of the movie off the ground as well as his initial expectations of the film’s success. Emma Watson attended the Oscars for the first time, which we reported recently, presenting the award for special effects.

The 2013 Nebula nominees have been announced by the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America. Of note for Potter fans, is the Ray Bradbury Award for Outstanding Dramatic Presentation. Congratulations to both Doctor Who and Gravity for the nomination!

Most of you probably know that Natalia Tena, known as Tonks to Harry Potter fans, also fronts a band. The band, called Molotov Jukebox, has released a music video for their new single “Neon Lights.” What do you think of the new song? Do you like the video?

Tom Felton appeared on chat show Conan last week to promote his new movie, In Secret. In Secret is a thriller based on an 19th century Emile Zola novel. While on the show, Tom chatted about the legacy of Harry Potter, driving Lamborghinis, his new movie and being mistaken for Breaking Bad’s Aaron Paul.
