Harry Potter fans will experience the magic and peril of Harry’s third year at Hogwarts. For the first time, gamers will play as friends Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger as well as Harry Potter, switching between characters and utilizing their key attributes and skills to resolve challenges and overcome enemies. Players will unravel the mystery surrounding Sirius Black and his escape from the infamous wizard prison Azkaban, as they take part in the most exciting and challenging Harry Potter video game adventure yet. 

The Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban video game was released May 25, 2004, by Electronic Arts for PC, PlayStation 2, Game Boy Advance, Nintendo GameCube, and Xbox.

Trivia
  • This is the first game in the series where you can switch between Harry, Ron, and Hermione at most points in the game.
  • The game begins with the trio on the Hogwarts Express, skipping Aunt Marge blowing up, the Knight Bus, and the Leaky Cauldron.
  • Harry's appearance in the game is drastically different, as is his voice, because the video games at this point started paying more attention to resembling the actors from the films.
  • This game is narrated by Stephen Fry, who also narrated the UK editions of the Harry Potter audiobooks.
