We may know him as Rubeus Hagrid, but few of Robbie Coltrane’s fans realize that he got his artistic start drawing and painting as a student at Glasgow School of Art. In a new interview, Coltrane, who was a student at the art college from 1968-1972, describes his recollections of the era that turn out to be both detailed and colorful. He also reflects on his younger self, a young man with grand ideas about the creation of art and painting.
This year’s Oscars ceremony, hosted by Ellen DeGeneres, took place last night in Hollywood. The big winner of the night was Gravity, the movie directed and produced by Alfonso Cuarón and David Heyman. It walked away with seven awards. In addition, Earlier this week Cuarón spoke about his son’s role in getting the concept of the movie off the ground as well as his initial expectations of the film’s success.
