Asexual Awareness Week runs from October 19 to October 25, creating awareness of a lesser-known sexuality. I decided the best way to spread awareness would be by doing what we all do best: talking about one of my favorite “Harry Potter” characters.
Harry needs both Ron and Hermione in his life; together, Ron and Hermione generously provide all the elements that Harry needs to be a fully functioning, more-than-adequately happy human being. By ripping the dialogue out of book-Ron’s mouth and shoving them into movie-Hermione’s does nothing except satisfy Harry/Hermione shippers and destroy any character building on Ron’s part.
Who would have stepped in to defeat the Dark Lord had Harry died in the Forbidden Forest?

We already know that Ginny Weasley is an excellent example of what a Gryffindor is supposed to be. She’s brave, she fights for what she believes in, and she has more nerve than all of Slytherin House put together. Perhaps it’s a coincidence that the symbol of both Gryffindor House and the Leo zodiac sign (which Ginny was born under) is a lion, but not only is Ginny the ultimate Gryffindor, but she is also the ultimate Leo.
“How come you’re here?”
Apparently Ron had hoped that this point would come up later, if at all.
“Well, I’ve — you know — I’ve come back. If —” He cleared his throat. “You know. You still want me.”
Good day to all you wonderful, magical folk. No matter when or where you read this, know that I am smiling fondly at the fact that you are reading my words.
