It’s still two months until the first season of “The Magicians” premieres on Syfy, but the cast and crew are already making the press rounds, meeting fans and promoting the sure-to-be-awesome pilot. MuggleNet was lucky enough to catch up with executive producers and writers Sera Gamble and John McNamara at New York Comic Con, along with cast members Jason Ralph, Stella Maeve, Olivia Taylor Dudley, Hale Appleman, Arjun Gupta, and Summer Bishil.

You may have noticed that around here, we have, well, sort of a thing for wizarding school and magic. So you won’t be surprised to learn that we LOVED author Rainbow Rowell’s latest book, Carry On (okay, we love all of her books, but this one is about WIZARDS and WIZARD SCHOOL and ROMANCE). Not only did we love the book, we were also lucky enough to attend the book’s launch in New York City at the Powerhouse Arena!
So while my first loyalty may be to “Harry Potter”, I can’t hide the fact that “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” isn’t the only 2016 adaptation I’m looking forward to – I’m *almost* as excited for the book-to-television adaptation of Lev Grossman’s “The Magicians.”
BookCon is almost upon us! This is only the second year of the convention’s existence and the first year that the event will last for two days. No one knows quite what to expect from this year’s event since it’s never happened in this format before, but one thing’s for sure – it’s going to be a weekend jam-packed with awesome stuff for book-loving nerds. Here’s a few of BookCon’s most anticipated goings-on!
The final installment of Lev Grossman’s Magicians trilogy, The Magician’s Land, may not come out until August, but we’ve got an exciting offer for fans that you can win right now!
Book Expo America 2014 in New York City brought the likes of Rainbow Rowell, Cassandra Clare, Garth Nix, Eoin Colfer, Stan Lee, and more together under one roof. Didn’t get to attend? Don’t worry – MuggleNet has got you covered! Plus, we’ve got a flash giveaway for a promotional “Silkworm” shirt – enter here!
