Animal actors set to return to the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London this February!

by Sophie Reid · Published January 15, 2014 · Updated May 4, 2018

The Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter has announced this week that the popular animal actors are set to return to Hogwarts this February! The animals will be at the studio tour for a limited time only, between February 14 and February 24, 2014.

A few of the animals trained for the movies by Head Animal Trainer Julie Tottman will make an appearance on the sets. The announcement on the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London website tells us more about which animals will be present and what visitors can expect from the experience:

Visitors to the Gryffindor common room set will find it occupied by a cat that played stealthy Mrs. Norris, the toad that played Neville Longbottom’s pet Trevor and a number of rats – trained using the same process as those who played Ron Weasley’s pet Scabbers.

The ginger cat that played Hermione Granger’s bandy-legged feline Crookshanks will be seen on Diagon Alley.

A Neapolitan Mastiff, trained like those that played Hagrid’s loyal dog Fang, will be stationed outside the half-giant’s hut.

Visitors will also be able to pose for a picture with a Snowy Owl who played Harry Potter’s letter-delivering owl Hedwig.

Visitors will also be able to watch live training demonstrations and learn how the animals learned to act by seeing the equipment and tricks used by the trainers.

To find out more and to book your tickets, visit the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London website here. If you’re thinking of going, book your tickets quickly before they all sell out! Tickets must be pre-booked for the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London.

Have you seen the animal actors before? Or are you planning on seeing them this time around? Which animal would you most like to meet? Let us know in the comments!
