J.K. Rowling Finishes New Cormoran Strike Novel “Lethal White”!

It’s been a long wait for the latest installment of J.K… – ahem – Robert Galbraith’s Cormoran Strike series. The first three novels were released consecutively in 2013, 2014, and 2015, making it almost three years since Career of Evil was released. Of course, given Rowling’s involvement with Harry Potter and the Cursed Child and the Fantastic Beasts franchise, it’s no surprise that her alter ego needed some extra time to finish Lethal White, Strike’s next adventure. We certainly don’t begrudge her the time, but we are thrilled to learn that the novel is finally complete!

We first learned that the new novel would be called Lethal White in March of last year, and in the intervening months, fans have satisfied their Strike cravings with installments of the BBC’s television adaptation of the series.

There is no word yet on when the book will be available to the public – it still has to make its way through editing, after all. But we’re one step closer to Cormoran and Robin’s next adventure, and that’s a pretty great way to start off the weekend! Do any of you have predictions about what’s coming next for the crime-solving pair?

I've been making magic at MuggleNet since 2012, when I first joined the staff as a News intern. I've never wavered from the declaration in my childhood journal, circa October 2000: "I LOVE Harry Potter! If I clean my room, my mom says she'll make me a dinner a wizard would love!" Proud Gryffindor; don't hate.
