MuggleCast #100/101: The Big One/Streaming Spoilers
MuggleCast #100/101: The Big One/Streaming Spoilers It's a double dose of our Harry Potter podcast this week as we release two new episodes!

Episode 100: Our centennial show LIVE from Waterstones in London! Join Jamie, Laura, Eric, Kevin and me for our biggest live podcast ever with over 800 fans in attendance just a few hours before the release of Deathly Hallows. We discuss the movie, what will happen to the fandom after the book is released, take some last-minute DH theories, and much more.

Episode 101: RIGHT after we finished reading Deathly Hallows, we hosted a live show online where over 1,000 listeners tuned in to hear the very first talk on this subject! Join the same panel from Episode 100 as we take listener reviews, questions, and much more - all concerning what happened in Deathly Hallows.

Both shows promise to entertain and inform in two audio files. To download, we recommend subscribing for free within iTunes. That way, each new episode will automatically be sent to your computer. If you're already subscribed, load up iTunes and update your MuggleCast feed. You can also find full shownotes and alternate download links on the MuggleCast website. ENJOY!

REMINDER: MuggleCast will be hitting the road tomorrow (Wednesday) for the first stop on our post-Deathly Hallows summer tour in sunny Las Vegas, Nevada. Come out and see us at the Whitney Library at 7 PM!

Great stuff :) So glad my theories proved right in DH!

Posted by jacki3 Jul 22nd 2007

waaaaah... the book is really AWESOME! alot of snogging of Ron&MIone, which I love..hehe i want more though!

Posted by tonks73 Jul 22nd 2007

I wonder how alone I'll be in not liking the book...

Posted by HylaArborea Jul 22nd 2007

Some comments to: Grindelwald / Nurmengard These names do not sound "eastern european" at all. Grindelwald is clearly german ("wald" = "forest" - actually there is a small town named Grindelwald in the german speaking part of switzerland), which kind of fits to that he was defeated in 1945 and that he never had influence in Britain. Nurmengard strongly sounds scandinavian to me.

Posted by mrsdanradcliffe Jul 22nd 2007

YES. YES. AWESOME.

Posted by Sarah_Louise Jul 22nd 2007

Oh my god, the ron and hermione bits were the best! awwww...that epilogue! HAPPINESS!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by arpit87 Jul 22nd 2007

I hated the book for killing Lupin n Tonks.. but well Lupin just had to die, after Sirius and James did... maybe JKR dint want to leave behind tonks alone... come to think of it she has never left one of a couple alive...

Posted by MsGranger Jul 22nd 2007

AWesome, cant wait to listen to it!!

Posted by hengie Jul 22nd 2007

Yes YES YES! Loved the book, Jo triumphs yet again! Only pity is that my barely one-day old copy of DH has now suffered tens of tear-stained pages lol! And "Albus Severus" = LOVE!!!

Posted by MsGranger Jul 22nd 2007

arpit87 i hope i dont come off as being rude. But i dont htink you should have said who dies. B/c some people one here could still be reading the book, (i know my sister is and she come shere all the time) and dont want it to be ruined. But i agree with you, it was annoying how she did that!!

Posted by mrsdanradcliffe Jul 22nd 2007

also, andrew go to sleep. omg.

Posted by MsGranger Jul 22nd 2007

Mumma_Hogan, imt he same as you, everyhting (well almsot evreything i was suggesting) was correct, i feel sooo good. hahahahahah. and jacki3, i freaken love Ron and Hermione, they are soooo adorable. And when she kissed him that was soooo cute. Im like awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww wwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!

Posted by love_u_harry Jul 22nd 2007

I am so excited to listen to it! I JUST finished the book and wow....it was FANTASTIC! the epilogue was adorable and the entire book pretty much drove me to tears...the best one yet!

Posted by Sarah_Louise Jul 22nd 2007

The ron/hermione kiss was the best part in the whole book. Did Lavender die? it says that she had Greyback attacking her....

Posted by Kulyok Jul 22nd 2007

Great! Just what I wanted, thank you so much. I missed the discussion of Snape's portrait(I wanted things a bit more explicit, too), but I guess we'll have to wait for Jo's explanation.

WOW is the only word for that book. it was FREAKIN AMAZING!!!!!!! i have never cryed so much in my life though. at the very start with dudley, that was the sweetest thing ive ever seen. and snape oh snape im soooo glad i was right about him. the bit at dobby's funeral was seriously sad too, i couldnt stop crying for most of the book!! im so glad for nevile too. it was really funny when molly started to duel with bellatrix lol. DEATHLY HALLOWS IS THE BEST BOOK EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by kat_87_93 Jul 22nd 2007

ok, i swear mugglecast episode 100 is avioding me...its so wieird. the link that says epsodes 91-100 takes me to episode 101 and the "see older episodes" is taking me to 51-60 :S

Posted by moonal Jul 22nd 2007

i can't believe it's over. after 7 hrs of straight reading with tons of kleenex and washroom breaks, i still can't come to terms with the fact that the journey is over. i loved the book, it's time to re-read it.

Posted by MOCHS Jul 22nd 2007

This is the first time I've listened to Mugglecast after I read the book. This is really good!

Posted by Carribo Jul 22nd 2007

My favourite quote, quite mushy but eh... was in Dumbledores office wit Snape, and when he showed his patronus.. Dumbledore said 'After all this time?' and Snape replied with 'Always.' I just feel so bad for him! But it shows shes done a fantastic job at this book if she can make her readers this upset by it.

Posted by quidditchquaffle Jul 22nd 2007

I have to say that I despised the book at first, but now that I've fully read it and done some cryptic analyzing, I really love this book and so do a great deal of my offline friends -- You've done us proud, the epilogue is a nice touch, we like it, it's just a bit of a "What the?"

Posted by SaphyreRavenclaw Jul 22nd 2007

The book was great!!!! I kinda wish the epilogue was longer though.

Posted by jacensolo66 Jul 22nd 2007

i have a question. maybe i missed it, but who was the squib that used magic late in life? besides that i thought it was a really good book except one of the deaths was a bit anti-climactic. i expected the person to go out in a huge duel and not the way they did.

Posted by SaphyreRavenclaw Jul 22nd 2007

jacensolo66: I know what you mean....I Think I missed it too.....

Posted by mrssiriusblack Jul 22nd 2007

i was thinking that too jacensolo66????? I dont know???

Posted by mlc872 Jul 22nd 2007

I Loved Loved Loved it. I just finished at 5 am and I was at the edge of my seat the whloe time crying and laughing and panicing. I loved Neville he was so great. Very sad at some points but in the end love conquors all!!!!!

Posted by quidditchquaffle Jul 22nd 2007

jacensolo66 - Filch? Maybe? Did he use it in the battle?

Posted by mrssiriusblack Jul 22nd 2007

i thought the same about the magic late in life thing i mean. i thought the deaths were good. how unexpected was it for Mad-Eye to be killed so sudden???? was the person who used magic late in life something about dudley???

Posted by Sirius_Black Jul 22nd 2007

LOVED THE BOOK! HOW GOOD WAS IT! The person who used magic later in life may have been Ariana, because most people thought she was a Squib. Although since we hadn't heard of her before Deathly Hallows, what would be the point of JKR giving us a clue about that? And also, Ariana actually did magic early in life, then after that she couldn't control it. BTW, I'm not able to view the page of episodes 91-100 on the MuggleCast website. Is anyone else having this problem?

Posted by jacensolo66 Jul 22nd 2007

quidditchquaffle-the only time i remember filch being mentioned in the final battle was when mcgonagall told him to find peeves. mrssiriusblack -the only way it was dudley is if she considers love to be magic. although they never said what dudley saw when attacked by dementors, i think his scenes gave me a pretty good idea what it was. anyone else agree.
