Our weekly showcase of smart, creative Potter videos is back again, as surely as it is Monday! With the final Potter film now set to be released on Bluray and DVD, let us remember two key things about the film series: 1) The task of bringing Harry's story to the big screen took filmmakers over a decade to accomplish, during which time we watched Harry fight heroically and attempt to save those closest to him year by exciting year. 2) The promotion of the films, particularly in the later years, was tremendous, and at times, the story being previewed seemed larger than life.

Our first video (available in this feed or at this link) arrived on the internet mere days after Harry Potter was named highest-grossing film franchise of all time, and offers a great example of why the series has achieved such notoriety. Set to the music of "This is War" by 30 Seconds to Mars, Harry's 8-film journey through love and loss is given great treatment, and the video reminds us of the films' emotional effect on us as viewers.

Our second video is a spoof of Warner Bros.' marketing of the 7th and 8th Potter films, in the form of a "Literal video" makeover of the first full Deathly Hallows, Parts 1 and 2 trailer. The spoof is super funny, and if you haven't already seen it (though nearly 8 million viewers have) you can do so right now, or watch it again, at this link.

Do you have a fandom video you would like to see featured on MuggleNet? You can submit them right here to us. Thanks to Jess from Australia for the suggestion of this week's featured video. See you next Monday!
