"Potter" Career

"Potter" Career

Miranda joined the Harry Potter series in 2005, appearing as the sensationalist-seeking, ethically-questionable Daily Prophet reporter Rita Skeeter in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Absent from the following two films, Miranda reprised her role as Skeeter in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1.

Reflecting on the opportunity to be a part of the Harry Potter series, Miranda had nothing but praise:

I think it’s a great thing to be part of. I do. Truly. I think it’s something that’s gonna last even though special effects move on at pace. I think that the storytelling, which is the prime importance, is pretty great during that franchise. I think there’s a back and forth that happens. The kids don’t just see the movie. They do read the books. It doesn’t matter if they read them before or after. There’s a wish and a will to get involved in that world, which is great.
