Merchandise Review: “Harry Potter” Sweater from UglyChristmasSweater.com

This is the ultimate ugly Christmas sweater. It’s perfection. I don’t know what other word to use to describe it. It’s the sort of thing that I never knew I needed until I opened up that package and this bundle of glorious, geeky, knit holiday cheer was in my hands.

The sweater is an actual knit sweater, not like the sweatshirts with screen printing on them that have been floating around the Internet. This is the real deal. At $56.99, the price tag reflects that quality. Despite the high cost, this sweater is absolutely worth it. I haven’t put it in the wash yet, so I don’t know how it holds up (I’ll probably opt for hand washing just to make sure it lasts), but from the feel of the sweater itself, it seems like it will be extremely durable.
12322622_10208464006427334_1517237000406297587_oThe website says this runs small and to order a size up, but as a 120-pound female, the size small fits perfectly, so I would say it’s true to size. It’s loose, but I’m not swimming in it. I usually worry about sleeve length because I have long arms, but these are the perfect length, and I love the more traditional pattern that’s knitted into the sleeves. The bottom of the sweater and the cuffs of the sleeves are ribbed, so they stay down where they should be instead of riding up.

I wore this around campus today and got so many compliments. It really is a great conversation starter! Great job on this one, UglyChristmasSweater.com!

I was 9 years old when I discovered the magic that is “Harry Potter.” I am a proud Hufflepuff and exceedingly good at eating, reading, being sarcastic, and over-thinking small tasks. Since I spent too much time worrying about the correct way to write this bio, this is all I was able to come up with before the deadline.
