“Deathly Hallows – Part 2” sets Guinness record for largest 3D digital cinema projection
According to a report from Inavate, the French 3D premiere of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 has captured a record that is now set in the Guinness Book of World Records for the largest 3D projection in a cinema.
The screen size used at the Palais Ominisports de Paris-Bercy was a massive 29.9m X 12.33m (98 ft X 40 ft), and it took six Solaria Series CP2230 DLP Cinema projectors from Christie to fill the screen seamlessly. Christie digital projectors are commonly used in movie theaters worldwide.
The 3D presentation of Deathly Hallows – Part 2 was shown to an audience of 8,500 patrons.
