JK Rowling honored by University of Edinburgh

Princess Anne, in her first act since being appointed chancellor at University of Edinburgh, is honoring JK Rowling for her donation of  £10 million to open a multiple sclerosis research clinic.

The clinic is to be named after Jo’s mother Anne, who passed away from the degenerative disease. The center will focus mostly on research and development of treatments for MS and is expected to become a world leader in the field. It is expected to open in 2013.
